Frequently Asked Questions

Clarity begins with understanding.

Choosing the right practitioner is an important decision, and you deserve to feel informed, supported, and confident before you take the next step.

These FAQs are designed to answer common questions and help you understand what working together looks like at Paradigm Nutrition.

Consultation Questions

  • Each consultation focuses on understanding your health story in depth. We explore your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals, review any existing test results, and identify areas that may need deeper investigation. You’ll leave each session with clarity about what’s happening in your body and practical steps to move forward.

  • Yes. Consultations are available both in person at our Bendigo clinic and via telehealth for patients across Australia and internationally. The level of care and detail is exactly the same in both settings.

  • You’ll receive an intake form to complete at least one week before your Health Assessment Consultation. This allows us to make the most of your time together. Bring any recent GP or specialist test results if you have them — they’re always helpful.

  • At this time, I am claimable with a few private health funds BUT I am NOT claimable at Medicare. Call reception to find out if your health fund provides rebates. All pricing is transparent and will be discussed clearly during your initial connection call.

Testing, Treatment, and Approach

  • Not always. Functional testing is used when it will meaningfully deepen understanding or improve treatment outcomes. If current information is enough to guide your care, we won’t recommend unnecessary tests.

  • Absolutely. Collaboration is a core part of our approach. Many of our patients are referred by medical professionals, and we are always happy to integrate your plan alongside existing medical care.

  • Supplementation is personalised, not automatic. When recommended, it is based on clinical need and may include targeted nutraceuticals or custom-compounded blends designed specifically for you. We focus on what is essential, effective, and aligned with your goals.

  • No. Your plan is created with your real life in mind. We focus on steady, sustainable changes that fit into your weekly routine, not overwhelming rules or rigid protocols.

Conditions and Suitability

  • We work with a wide range of health concerns including fatigue, digestive issues, hormone imbalance, inflammation, perimenopause and menopause, recurrent infections, kidney stone prevention, nutrient deficiencies, and complex chronic conditions such as Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS).

  • Many patients come to us after long journeys elsewhere. Our approach is investigative, personalised, and collaborative, helping you make sense of previous attempts and create a plan that is tailored, not generic.

  • Yes. While many patients are women between their 30s and 80s, we support adults of all ages and genders.

  • Yes. This is one of the most common reasons people seek our support. We look beyond surface markers to understand the deeper drivers of your symptoms.

Fees, Support, and Practicalities

  • Consultation fees reflect the depth of assessment, clinical experience, and time dedicated to personalised case analysis. All fees are discussed clearly before you begin, with full transparency around expected costs.

  • This varies depending on your health concerns, goals, and progress. Most patients benefit from an initial series of consultations, followed by periodic check-ins to support long-term stability.

  • Patients have access to ongoing communication between appointments for essential questions or clarification. Your health journey is a collaboration, and support does not end when the session does.

  • Yes. Wellness retreats will be launching in 2026, offering a deeper, immersive experience centred on connection, clarity, and restorative health.
